Who has never heard of the beaches of Paraíba? With its corals, cliffs, small dunes, coconut trees, calm or choppy waters, deserted or lively, full of kiosks, boardwalks and restaurants. The beaches that are part of João Pessoa and those in neighboring cities make any tourist happy. The exotic can even enjoy a peaceful nudist beach. Water sports enthusiasts can also choose which beach to choose from among the countless options offered by the privileged landscape.
Barra do Gramame Beach
The name of the beach refers to the Gramame River that divides the beach in two. The river flows into the sea and coconut trees and cliffs decorate the landscape.
Sun Beach
Despite being busy in its core, the north and south areas are quieter and allow for good swimming. Access is via a paved road with little signage.
Jacarape Beach
This beach is called Camurupim and stands out for the rocks, calm waters and cliffs that surround it.

Arraial Beach
The calm sea surrounded by cliffs is the main attraction of Arraial beach. To get there, just a good walk from Penha or Jacarapé beach.
Penha Beach
The beach is home to the Nossa Senhora da Penha Sanctuary, dating from 1763. Despite this, the beach has its attractions, such as the stalls set up on the sand with a thousand and one options of typical snacks.
Seixas Beach
The beach is a favorite stopping point for local residents as it has calm waters and lively forró music that echoes from the kiosks’ speakers. The Cabo Branco Lighthouse is just north of there.
Cabo Branco Beach

Well visited, this beach has good shade from lined coconut trees and few waves for diving. Live music and a busy promenade keep tourists busy.

Tambau Beach

This beach is in the neighboring city of Cabedelo, it is also called Mar dos Macacos. Busy, it mixes a wide promenade with sandbanks. Sea turtles spawn sporadically on this beach.

With almost no waves, the beach is great for Jet skiing and windsurfing. It is surrounded by beautiful reefs.

Bonsucesso Beach
Located in the city of Lucena, the beach is suitable for swimming and diving. The somewhat wild landscape is home to a trail with access to the Nossa Senhora do Bonsucesso church, built in the mid-16th century.
Praia Miriri
This beach is in the municipality of Rio Tinto and is little visited as it is located in a remote region, possible after a sandy road with few signs. Those who venture to the destination are rewarded by a beautiful view of colorful cliffs.
Oitero Beach
This beach in Rio Tinto is completely deserted, except for the surfers who arrive to practice their sports. It is surrounded by coconut trees, dunes and sandbank vegetation. It also has a camping area.
Campina Beach
The city of Rio Tinto is home to Campina beach situated in a fishing village. The strong winds that blow in the region provide good waves for water sports.
Barra de Mamanguape Beach
On this beach, an event surprises visitors, it is the meeting of the sea with the Mamanguape River. At this same meeting point, corals can be observed at low tide.
South coast
Tambaba Beach
Located in the municipality of Conde, it has been the first official nudist beach in the northeast since 1991. The more relaxed can enjoy the coconut trees, cliffs and restinga vegetation that make the beach more beautiful. Nearby there is a lively bar.
Coqueirinho Beach
Rocks and water fountains are part of Coqueirinho beach, which is packed with tourists and tents on weekends. A nearby restaurant offers typical and well-served dishes. It is in Conde.
Carapibus Beach

Among the other beaches nearby, this is the only one that forms natural pools due to the formation of corals at the ends of the beach. It is on the south coast.
Tabatinga Beach
The beach, like the others, has cliffs, soft sand and reefs, but stands out for the formation of small lagoons, formed by the sea.
