With a diverse hotel network, which covers different types of budgets and travel styles, Bariloche is well prepared to handle the flow of tourists, even in high season.
However, prices vary depending on demand. During the snow and ski season, when available rooms tend to fill up quickly, rates will obviously be higher, so book in advance.

Where to stay in Bariloche: Civic Center and surroundings
Those without a car or with family will prefer to stay in the center of Bariloche. In general, this is also the choice of those who are going to the city for the first time, as it is close to everything.
From there, you will walk to shops, restaurants, travel agencies, bus stops, bars and nightclubs. Some of the hotels even offer incredible lake and mountain views.
The region is ideal for those who don’t give up having everything close by and also for those who go to Bariloche in search of not only snow and beautiful landscapes, but a little excitement. If you’re looking for more affordable prices, the center is also where you should stay.
Even better located is the small area of the civic center and its surroundings. Close to the charming little wooden and wooden houses are all of the city’s main shops, cafes and restaurants.
In the summer and high winter season, however, this area receives groups of teenagers on graduation trips, which ends up making the stay a little troubled. If you are going there during these periods, the best thing to do to ensure peace of mind is to ask if the hotel welcomes these school groups.
Therefore, tranquility is an advantage for those who prefer to stay in the center, but in parts a little further away from the civic area. As the city isn’t very big, you’ll still be able to get around on foot, but you’ll pay less per night and have a little corner to escape from the crowds of tourists.

Av. Bustillo: Accommodation on the lakefront in Bariloche
If what you are looking for is tranquility, bucolicism, a hint of romance and breathtaking views, the alternative is to stay in the kilometers along Lake Nahuel Huapi on Avenida Bustillo.
The region is far from the tourist hubbub and has a more modern hotel structure than those in the center.
However, when staying in this area, be aware that your access to the city’s public transport will be restricted. Therefore, the alternative is to rent a car or take advantage of taxis (which are not cheap in the region).
It is also easier to get rooms there in high season, as hotels in the center tend to fill up first.
In addition to some luxury hotels and apartments close to the hill, you can also rent nice cabins and bungalows for a more private and authentic experience of the region. Ideal for those who travel as a couple or as a family and are not afraid to get behind the wheel.

Cerro Catedral: Where to stay in Bariloche for skiing
If you go to Bariloche to ski or want to stay close to the snow, then it is worth looking for a hotel in the mountain region, close to Cerro Catedral and in the Lake Gutierrez region.
In other words, it is worth staying in this region if your trip is in the winter season, between the months of June, July and August, when you will find snow in the region.
At the base of the mountains there is a good structure of hotels and restaurants. So, even though you are far from the center, you will be well served.

Cheap Accommodation Bariloche
During my stay in Bariloche, I stayed at the Hostel Inn. In high season, the daily rates for collective rooms were around 60 reais (230 pesos – but this value can change due to the exchange rate and inflation in Argentina), with breakfast and dinner included in the price.
Yes, dinner is free mouth! Don’t expect a feast, the food is simple, but tasty, and helps you save a lot of money in that expensive city of Bariloche.
Located in the city center, just a few minutes walk from Calle Bartolomé Miter, the most important in Bariloche, the place is clean, with a new structure and well maintained.
The main attraction, however, is the view. As it is on top of a hill, the facade of the Hostel Inn faces the lake and the mountains. And since they’re not stupid or anything, they built a large glass window for us to enjoy the landscape while having breakfast.
And the place even has a little porch that must be incredible for relaxing when the temperatures allow you to spend more time outdoors.
Dinner is served in another hostel from the same group, which is a few meters away, on the same street. Marcopolo II is another economical accommodation option in the city. Although it doesn’t have that glass window with the incredible view of the Hostel Inn, the place has a bar with a pool table and is a meeting point for backpackers in Bariloche. Both hostels belong to the Hosteling International network.
