Continuing the saga of using the waffle maker! The search for different recipes to increase the repertoire of what can be done on the equipment beyond the normal waffle.
The original recipe I think I read in the magazine Fine Cooking, I forgot to look at this little detail. There were other magazines along with it, and the idea of combining cookies and waffles jumped out at us.
I made some adjustments, changed the type of sugar and instead of using oats, I used granola. It was what I had at home, not to mention that I don’t usually use oats, so.
The taste is a combination of a waffle and a cookie, it’s a little obvious, but there’s no other way to describe it. For those who like it sweeter, I can tell you that it’s not that sweet.
As the idea is a cookie base, that’s why the waffle wasn’t made to the size of the machine’s plate, right? In addition to cooking faster.
