Miami’s gastronomic scene is always renewing itself, and on this last visit to the city, I went to Klaw on an invitation-only night, before it even opened, and I was very impressed! Located in a region that is only growing and receiving more and more investment, the new restaurant in Edgewater has a rooftop with a spectacular view of Biscayne Bay. The first in the neighborhood, in fact! Specialized in cooking surf and turf, that is, the combination of seafood and meat, is located in a historic building and has sophisticated environments. Certainly something new that promises to shake up Miami! Read all the details below. Take the opportunity to read more tips on restaurants with a view in Miami.

New restaurant in Edgewater
In a building that was closed for years and functioned as a Women’s Club, the venture is owned by businessman Sasha Krilov and restaurateur Misha Zelman. There are more than 4,500 square meters divided into two floors, bar and restaurant. Completely redesigned by design studio Martin Brudnizki, we first went through the bar, which in itself is an event! With large floor-to-ceiling windows, the view is so impressive that it immediately calls us to the balcony.

In fact, the highlight is the bar on the rooftop, which has a sensational 360° view! A good option to have a drink before dinner, enjoying the sunset.

O menu do Klaw
We tried some of the signature drinks and then went down to the restaurant itself.
On this pre-opening night, specific dishes were being served and so, we had a real tour of the menu and were able to taste some of the house’s signature dishes. Led by executive chef Phil Campbell, the star of the menu is the King Crabs, crabs, coming directly from the Barents Sea, in Norway. In other words, fresh like you’ve never eaten before! They are served whole and without the shell, ideal for sharing. In addition, there are also other delicacies from the sea, such as oysters and scallops from the East Coast. For those who prefer meat, there are excellent cuts that combine marbling, texture and flavor, as well as premium cuts, such as the authentic Kobe Beef.

Since it’s the only rooftop bar in Edgewater, the drinks menu really is up to par! There are signature cocktails, such as, for example, the new version of the El Dorado, a tropical rum punch made with rum, cherry, almond-infused grappa and ginger beer. There is also a select wine list, with 250 labels from the Old and New Worlds.
