In the most stunning and popular region on the north coast of São Paulo, the traditional Ilhabela Shrimp Festival takes place. In its 22nd edition, the event is already making waves on the weekends in various parts of the resort. Ideal for those who want to enjoy a beautiful landscape, accompanied by good cuisine.
New flights leaving Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo
Show classes with renowned chefs have been taking place since August 11th, and shrimp dishes are served at discounted prices in 49 restaurants in Ilhabela. There are also shows and workshops that last until the end of the Ilhabela Shrimp Festival, on August 27th. Unmissable!

The programation
At Arena Gastronomica, a space that operates on weekends, from 7pm to 11pm, in Praça das Bandeiras (Historical Center of the Island), chefs Olivier Anquier, Dalton Rangel and Leo Young will teach classes and share the space with the Amateur Chef Competition . In addition, there will be musical performances, tastings and cooking workshops.

The traditions
25th, at 8pm – Paella from the Ilhabela Shrimp Festival prepared live by chef Tonhão, at Arena Gastronomica.
Day 26, from 12pm to 8pm – Shrimp Regatta with start and finish at Vila pier and Cozinha show by chef Dalton Rangel.
27th, from 2pm to 4pm – The Amateur Chef Competition at the Gastronomic Arena chooses the best amateur cook in Ilhabela.

During every day of the Ilhabela Shrimp Festival it is possible to taste the dishes that were specially created for the event. Portofino, for example, offers Prawns with Pumpkin Puree – prawns, pumpkin puree, leeks and sliced almonds in a Port wine sauce.
