The pool area is very nice, with lots of greenery and it is divided for adults and children. There’s nothing like sitting there drinking a beer or caipiroska and letting time pass without rushing. From there, just move to the table for lunch or dinner enjoying a very pleasant view.

Or, after swimming in the pool, you can also enjoy coconut water on one of the sun loungers, in the shade, covered by local vegetation.
The gastronomy
The restaurant is certainly the greatest asset of the best guesthouse in Praia do Forte. The delights of Bahian cuisine and seafood are the specialties. In fact, I ate one of the best crab cones of my life there! The moqueca is still missed today and the shrimp in coconut, the house specialty, was completely approved. I ate so much at lunch that I didn’t manage to eat dinner either night, lol. But I don’t regret it one bit. Everything was impeccable!

The breakfast
The breakfast at Refúgio da Vila deserves a paragraph of its own! Probably one of the best I’ve ever eaten in hotels in Brazil! And look, I mean five-star hotels, huh! A rich table, very well set up, with a variety of breads, fruits, cakes and typical Bahian sweets. Jellies, jams, as well as northeastern delicacies, such as corn cake and tapioca couscous are also part of this first meal of the day.

Refresh yourself with delicious regional fruit juices, such as seriguela, umbu, cajá and cocoa. Furthermore, warm snacks, such as tapioca, student cupcakes and bread with guava paste, were offered by waitresses from table to table! Simply a delight in the early hours of the day!
The service
I was very impressed by the attentive service at Refúgio da Vila, a Roteiros de Charme guesthouse in Bahia. In addition to being agile, the staff were all very friendly and attentive to details. Furthermore, they were always willing to help.

Finally, the inn also offers massages by the pool, just book an hour in advance. And bicycles are available to guests, something that I found very nice.
In addition, children are welcome and there is a play space for them. I also thought the “cinema room” available to guests was great, with popcorn and everything. You can choose from dozens of DVDs. If you prefer to borrow a book, the library also offers that. Therefore, the ideal place to relax and spend unforgettable days!
