To get to the Arlington Cemetery, in Washington, it’s easy. There is a station subway already blue line which is named after the cemetery and is right in front of the site. After walking a little, you can see the entrance to the cemetery.

The cemetery is famous for having buried more than 300 thousand peoplemostly war veterans lived by the United States from the revolution to the Iraq War, astronauts and even the President John Kennedy and your family.

The place is huge and, I confess, I got lost there a few times. Because it is very similar and not so well signposted, it is difficult to locate.

Arlington Cemetery is beautiful and moving. Each tombstone bears the name of the soldier and in which war he died. It is not uncommon to find flowers among the tombs.

TOMB OF THE UNKNOWN SOLDIER

Another very visited point in the cemetery is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. There are the bodies of three unidentified soldiers: one from World War I, another from the Korean War and another from World War II. There, there is always a soldier protecting the tomb and the guard changes every hour or every half hour, depending on the time of year.
