I loved staying at Hotel Madero in Buenos Aireswith the seal World Hotels, which provides a guarantee of comfort, quality and a certain glamour. With a great location, in the most modern and safe neighborhood of the city, the Porto Maderothe hotel is 11 years old but still looks new.
I asked how they manage to maintain this freshness and the reason is in fact the care with the appearance and frequent renovations in different areas of the hotel. With contemporary style, modern decor and attentive service, the Madero Hotel is a great option for those going to Buenos Airesboth for work and leisure.
The lobby is very large, with high ceilings and well divided, with varied spaces, several sofas and even a pool table to pass the time. A highlight is the bar, which is very charming and also has tables outside, when the temperature permits.
On the same floor is the Red restaurant, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and in the evening it is usually frequented not only by hotel guests. With international cuisine with French touches, led by Chef Alejandro Bontempo, he offers a very complete wine list and with the help of the sommelier, we can choose the label among the most prestigious wineries in the country.
The coffee is very plentiful, served as a buffet until 10:30 in the morning and is included in the daily rate.
In total there are 197 rooms, of good size – mine was 42m – and equipped with everything the traveler needs nowadays: LCD TV, desk, safe, mini-bar, as well as great Wi-Fi connection and 24-hour room service . There’s even a small counter to make life easier for those who want to eat something in their room.
But what I liked most was the balcony, with a view of the Diques do Madero Portbeautiful at any time of the day.
The hotel also has a good gym, sauna, jacuzzi, indoor heated pool, terrace with deck and natural solarium. A surprise, considering that we are in such a busy neighborhood, in the middle of the city, and a very pleasant place to spend some time after a busy day of work or even sightseeing. Buenos Aires.
On the tour I took at the hotel, I was able to see the Diplomat suite, measuring 90m, complete with a bathroom with a view and a private jacuzzi and where several famous people have stayed. I also visited the Business Center and the meeting rooms, which were practical and friendly.
Speaking of friendliness, the hotel staff is very efficient, always willing to help, with a team of competent and well-informed concierges, as it should be. Before I even arrived, I requested a restaurant reservation via email and was promptly served.
I can’t help but mention that my flight back was early and I had to get up early. One detail that I found very nice was a breakfast buffet in the lobby, for this type of situation. Simple but well thought out.
