I was excited to visit The Surf Club, a starred restaurant in Miami, which is located inside the Four Seasons at The Surf Club hotel, Surfside. With a Michelin star, this is award-winning chef Thomas Keller’s first venture in Florida. Open only for dinner, it is certainly a great option for those in the region of Surfside and want to eat well. But be careful: reservations open a month in advance and are essential! To put it in historical context, the Surf Club became famous in Miami for its legendary parties, since the 1930s, which brought together the high society worldwide. Therefore, the Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club harks back to an ancient history as a lively destination for the rich and famous.

The Surf Club: starred restaurant in Miami
The Surf Club is located in the Surfside region, a neighborhood neighboring the sophisticated Bal Harbor, more exclusive and with a small town feel. With a refined and elegant atmosphere, the project was designed by French architect Joseph Dirand, a specialist in the design of luxury stores and hotels around the world. The palm trees remind us that we are in South Florida, as do the foliage designs on the walls. Furthermore, the starred restaurant in Miami has attentive and kind service.
On The Surf Club’s menu, we find iconic Thomas Keller dishes, such as, for example, the Avocado Louie, the NY Strip Steak, the Caesar salad, prepared at the table and also the Lobster Thermidor, with mushrooms and a puff pastry shell in gruyère sauce, with white wine, sherry and brandy. From Gods! Therefore, the chef is based on European cuisine but using fresh local ingredients.
In the drinks section, there is a diverse selection of old and new world wines, as well as signature cocktails, inspired by the original Surf Club.
The Champagne Bar
