Certainly an unmissable tip for haute cuisine lovers who go to Portugal. Casa de Chá da Boa Nova, with two Michelin stars, is located in the Matosinhos neighborhood, next to the Leça Lighthouse, with stunning views! Led by renowned chef Rui Paula, this starred restaurant in Porto features signature food focused on seafood. Furthermore, it is located in a stunning house designed by architect Álvaro Siza Vieira. On the menu, chef Rui de Paula prioritizes seasonal ingredients, in creative dishes with influences from his Portuguese roots. In addition to à la carte dishes, there are also three tasting menu options, which can be 6, 12 or 21 courses, as well as paired or not. I opted for the tasting menu and was very pleasantly surprised, with tasty and delicately presented dishes! Like, for example, tuna tartar with oyster, crayfish and sea bass. The restaurant also has an excellent wine list.
Therefore, if you are looking for a place to eat well in Porto, set aside a few hours of your day to enjoy this unique experience!
