Almoço no Hotel La Reserve, em Paris

Lunch at the restaurant at Hotel La Reserve, in Paris

Europe
I had one this week lunch at the restaurant of the Hotel La Reserve, in Paris, called Le Grand Salon, at the invitation of Paris Mania, a portal with great blogs about the city.
Opened just over a year ago and very well located, in the 8th arrondissement, that is, close to the chic rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Avenue Montaigne and the Champs-Elysées, the hotel boutique Five-star hotel is discreet and elegant. When we enter the hotel, the impression we have is that we are entering the home of someone with great taste. There is no lobby. Guests are welcomed in a large room, classically decorated, with the ever-present red, a trademark of the hotels. La Reserve.

On the other side is the restaurant Large lounge, sophisticated and overlooking the hotel’s beautiful gardens. With a continuous menu that goes from lunch to dinner, the restaurant offers French cuisine with a contemporary touch and is led by chef Jérôme Banctel, also responsible for the Gabriel restaurant, next door, with two Michelin stars.

I ordered foie gras and a buffalo mozzarella salad as a starter. Both came with a beautiful presentation and were very tasty.

Next, I went for the classic steak tartare, a dish that I can’t see on the menu and I immediately want to order. It was very well seasoned and with crispy potatoes. My friend ordered a beef carpaccio and was also satisfied.

To finish, we tried two desserts: the new strawberry profiterolis, gorgeous and no less tasty, and the chocolate tart, not at all sweet and sensational, like only the pastry chefs French people know how to do it.

After lunch I took a tour of the hotel and I was delighted! The bar, right next to the Large loungeit’s charming, and ideal for happy hour or a drink before or after dinner.

The library, in the old style, where you can, in fact, borrow a book, has become a space for meetings, whether for small meetings, reading or working a little, silent and very cozy.

I also visited the presidential suite, very well decorated and more than spacious; a dream come true!

The rooms have views of the Grand Palais, the Eiffel Tower, the Panthéon, the Concorde Obelisk, it’s even difficult to choose which is the most beautiful: it’s a waste of time!

And the La Reserve It also has a super spa, where I had the chance to have a more than relaxing massage. It has a 16 meter swimming pool – something rare in Paris – and individual cabins for changing clothes. I thought it was really chic.
