Cakes&Bubbles, run by renowned Spanish chef Albert Adrià, is located inside the luxurious Hotel Cafe Royal, which bears the Leading Hotels of the World seal. Certainly a unique gastronomic experience, with top-notch sweets, accompanied by a selection of sparkling wines. Dessert bar from the best confectioner in the world

After the success of the pop up “50 Days by Albert Adrià”‘ in 2016, the chef returns to London to stay. In fact, this is his first establishment outside his homeland, Spain. Located on busy Regent Street, Cakes & Bubbles was born from the chef’s wishes to open an exclusive place for desserts. The inspiration is “La Dolça”, the sweets area at Tickets, in Barcelona.

In an elegant but relaxed environment, the marble walls add a touch of sophistication to the bar, which features with some red and black chairs, and a counter with taller stools.

O menu

Between creative desserts and traditional sweets, the highlight is the presentation, which is always different and delicate. Furthermore, on the menu, there is a pairing suggestion for each sweet. One of the dessert bar’s flagship products is the cheesecake, made with Baron Bigod cheese, hazelnuts and white chocolate, in a round shape.

The desserts are wonderful, like, for example, the “After Eight”, strawberry and chocolate marshmallow, and the Frozen coconut and chocolate flower, which are chollow and chocolate frozen in flower shape. In fact, speaking of shape, it even has an egg shape! It’s the Golden egg flan, a version of the typical Spanish dessert “flan de huevo”, traditionally made from eggs, milk and sugar. At the dessert bar of the best confectioner in the world, take eggs, cream, sugar, dark caramel and passion fruit jelly.

In addition, there is also a closed menu for 2 people, the Sweet Afternoon Bubbles Menu. With three steps, it includes four assorted sweets in the first step, followed by a smango lollipop ice cream with crunchy strawberry, and finished with the famous cheesecake. The value of Sweet Afternoon Bubbles Menu is 32 euros, and 42 with a glass of Sophie Baron Brut.
