Museums, wooded parks, zoo, great restaurants and a bunch of other attractions. Palermo is one of my favorite neighborhoods, precisely because it has so many options. Here they are tips of what you can do in one day in Palermo. But the ideal is to go back and plan more time in one of the most charming neighborhoods in Buenos Aires.
I love walking to get to know the place I’m visiting. Is at Buenos AiresI never stopped walk down the streets, look at the movement, the architecture of the city. Sometimes I waste a lot of time just looking at the buildings, trying to imagine how those residents live.

Charming tree-lined streets
This great avenue is Presidente Figueroa Acorta, a prime spot and home to another place I never stop going to: MALBA, the Latin American Art Museum of Buenos Aires.
I am a fan of “Abaporu”, a screen Tarsila do Amaralwhich has been owned by the collector for 18 years Eduardo Constantine, founder of Malba. I interviewed the collector at an exhibition at MAM do Rio de Janeiro for more than 10 years. It was the first time I saw the screen up close. Passion at first sight.

One of the trips was with Dri (Adriana Costa), also a journalist and friend at all times
I’ve been to Malba several times, but every time I enter the museum, I already want to see the wooden bench that climbs the walls and catches the attention of visitors. The installation is called “Creepers” and was created by the artist Pablo Reinoso. Incredible, right?

“Enredamaderas” bench: it’s an installation, it means you can sit down to experience it

And the bench goes up the walls…

Frida Kahlo: the work “Self-portrait with monkey and parrot” is also at Malba
Have you finished seeing everything at the museum? Time to sit down without rushing Café des Arts, which belongs to Malba. I doubt it can resist all the delicious things there!

creme brulee from doce de leite, dos deuses!
Let’s move on: very close to the museum is the Buenos Aires Zoo, in Italy Square. Children are dazzled by so many new features and adults also have a lot of fun. Declared National Historical Heritage the zoo reproduces the natural habitat of the animals.

Bengal tiger, the name is this because the origin of the animal is Bengal, a region in northeast Asia
