In this recipe you will discover fake cheese bread, which does not contain cheese! In addition to being very tasty, it is super healthy.
The main ingredient is cassava or baroa potato, a very nutritious carbohydrate, used in famous athletes’ diets. If you can’t find this potato, you can use yam or sweet potato to replace it.

Let’s go to the ingredients
- 5 or 6 medium cassava
- 4 cups of sweet tapioca tea
- 1 cup of sour cassava starch
- 1 cup of hot coconut oil (can replace with extra virgin olive oil)
- 1 and 1/2 cups of very hot water
- Salt to taste
How to prepare
- Cook the cassava and then mash it well to form a puree.
- Mix this puree with the tapioca starch and salt.
- Add the oil little by little and continue mixing.
- Lastly, add the water.
- Mix everything until you get a homogeneous dough.
- Make small balls with your hands (the dough doesn’t stick to your hands).
- Preheat the oven and bake in a low/medium oven (approximately 180º) for around 40 minutes.
The best way to know if it’s ready is to stick a fork or toothpick into a bun. If the fork or toothpick comes out clean, the bread is ready to eat.
Serve them warm, accompanied by a warm cinnamon and fennel tea.
