This soup is inspired by a restaurant recipe Outback. Although I don’t have the original recipe, I’m good at identifying ingredients, and I think it turned out very similar. I’ve seen some recipes on the internet, even called “original recipe”, but if my taste buds haven’t betrayed me, none of them are the real recipe and even though mine isn’t either, I advise you to make them because it was delicious!
Ingredients:
1 cup. (tea) chopped bacon;
1 small chopped onion;
3 crushed or chopped garlic cloves;
4 col. red pepper (soup) chopped into small cubes;
4 col. Yellow pepper (soup) chopped into small cubes;
1 can of green corn (without the water);
2 col. (soup) of wheat flour;
Milk until it reaches the creaminess point;
1/2 col. Jamaican Pinch (tea)
Salt to taste
I used Pita Jamaicano as a seasoning, which has a touch of mint and lemon that made all the difference in the recipe. As not everyone has this seasoning, I leave its ingredients which are: Onion, Chives, Lemon Peel, Black Pepper, Garlic, Parsley, Mint, Allspice, Coriander, Fennel, Ginger and Sweet Paprika.
Look at the amount of deliciousness in one little bottle! For this reason, I always recommend that you have Pita Natural seasonings at home. Because in addition to being delicious, they are 100% natural, without preservatives, without dyes, without glutamate, I love them so much!
Let’s go to the recipe?
Saute the bacon in its own fat until golden. Add the onion and when it wilts. add the garlic. Next, add the peppers and corn. Add the Pinch Natural Jamaican and the wheat flour, mix and over low heat, stirring for 2 minutes to cook the flour. Add the milk little by little and stir until it thickens (approximately) 700 to 800 ml. Adjust the salt. add green onions to decorate.
Performance: 2 servings
