I’m visiting my parents and these croutons my mom makes are so good I had to share them with you. They can be served with salads or soups, they are very fragrant and the flavor is incredible! Mamys uses a tube because, according to her, the sweet breads combine perfectly with the other ingredients, but you can use whatever you want.
There aren’t very exact quantities for this recipe, but let’s start by chopping the bread into cubes. One package of tubes makes 2 large baking trays. Then chop the rosemary (about 1 cup of just the leaves) and cover with olive oil.
Cover all the bread with this mixture. Sprinkle fleur de sel (or common salt) and bake until golden. Keep an eye on them because they are hard to burn! The rosemary leaves will almost all remain on the baking sheet, but the flavor and aroma will be super present!
