Remember that in this post here I showed a hot dog that I ate in Chile and loved it!!! Well, I decided to make it at home and I can say that if it weren’t for the bread, it would have turned out the same!!! In fact, why is it so difficult to find a decent hot dog bun in Brazil? The one in Chile was very thin, here I only find these breads to be massive, huge. But back to the hot dog, this one has avocado. That’s right, avocado, and believe me, Aunt Tati, it’s delicious! I know it’s strange for our palate, the appearance doesn’t help much either hahahaha, but believe me, it’s really good!!!
The ingredients for this snack are (in order):
Bread (go! Hahahaha), sausage, tomato and onion vinaigrette, palta (which is seasoned avocado) and mayonnaise.
The sausage I used is Vienna, a longer type. It is smoked and has a very good flavor. In Chile they also used this. I just cooked it in boiling water. The vinaigrette is 1 chopped seedless tomato mixed with 1/2 small chopped onion (this amount is enough to make 3 snacks).
The avocado used is avocado, this little one with the black skin that is softer than the big one, but if you can’t find it, you can make it with the traditional avocado.
Mash 1 cup of avocado pulp, add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder or 1/3 of a crushed garlic clove, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 2 tablespoons ) of cream, salt and pepper to taste (this amount is enough to make 5 snacks).
To assemble, cut the bread in half without separating the halves, add the sausage, vinaigrette, cover with avocado and finally the mayonnaise. I suggest you make milk mayonnaise without adding the green scent (recipe here).
Guys, can someone please set up a Chilean hot dog cart in Brazil? It’s going to sell like crazy! It’s strange to look at, but then it’s love at first bite! Trust me!
