Is this the same as a Casserole dish as I want to buy one of these and as they are So expensive I must get it right.
We purchased a Dutch oven for $40 at Sam’s a few years ago. Still my favorite piece of cookware to this day
Anyone know what the 1st dish is she made in this video? Thank you
I LOVE all of my pieces & treasure them. BUT, this video makes me CRINGE seeing them use metal utensils!!!!! My husband has been on the back end of my wrath when I catch him using forks or anything metal. He has scratched 2 pieces UGH!!!!! So, I will go out and get a new piece to add to my collection!!!
I have two Dutch ovens and I love them. They are the greatest invention since sliced toast.
Special mention: bread??? No??
I’m getting my first Le Crueset Dutch oven for Christmas and I can hardly wait! It’s the 5 1/4 red one!
So basically its a pot with a lid
Terrible, no instructions, no basics, nothing real, just adverstisement.
I bought myself one for a Christmas present. I love it. Big fan now
Did you mention that you cannot allow Le Creuset to get hot enough to sear meat? The enamel will crack and come off in spots. The customer service is nasty and unesponsive. The "lifetime" guarantee is a pure joke as they quibble over the least thing. They also require a receipt. Who keeps a receipt for a 8, surely it would disintegrate anyway. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON LE CREUSET.
I have been cooking for more than 15 years, mostly in stainless steel and non-stick/ceramic. I always wanted a Le Creuset but never justified the price. Recently, Le Creuset was on sale in my Local Williams Sonoma Store and I bought both the 5.5 & 7.25 qt pieces together for $670 instead of $970! Yesterday tried my first recipe in the 5.5 qt I made chicken with mushrooms in a creamy sauce. Had some issues first with adjusting the heat because I use an induction burner, but it was an amazing experience and the final result was phenomenal. I also made the most beautiful loaf of bread I ever made with it today! I now regret that I didn’t buy a Le Creuset piece all this time, definitely worth every penny.. the quality and the design are just unmatchable anywhere else ❤️ So excited to try more recipes with it 👏🤩
I wish i could have it
Amazon Basics is offering a 6 quart dutch oven for under 45 dollars. Blue one was 43 and green was only 32 dollars. Prefer blue but I have never owned a Dutch oven so went with the green
it burns a lot sorry😢😢
I was so lucky to get one. I got it as a birthday Christmas gift.
Somebody said that glass enamel on it will eventually deteriorate. The repeated expansion and contraction during heating cycles cause microcracks on the glass enamel.
I have 5 le crueset cookwares. 2 dutch ovens, 1 shallow dutch oven, 1 braiser, and 1 marmite and I have yet to use them. They are so heavy.
Monoprix in kuwait was selling le crueset dutch ovens for $100. I bought 4 of them.
I don't understand using metal utensils. I'd never do that in mine.
I will not bow to any sponsor!!.
