7 Ways to Make Your Eyes Look Bigger and Brighter

1 – Brighten the corners

To make your eyes pop more, place a light shadow on the inner third of your eyelid, close to the tear duct. “This will make your eyes look bigger and brighter instantly,” says Forte.

Lighter colors create a highlight for the eyes, making them appear more awake. If it’s more of a party look, you can use a light, glittery eyeshadow too.

2- Brighten your eyebrows, but without using a highlighter

“Adding a point of lighting at the tip of your eyebrow (the thinnest and highest part of the eyebrow) will make your look draw attention, as this technique gives a ‘lift’ to your look”, says Forte.

You can use the same shadow you would use on the inner corner of your eye, but Forte recommends using a concealer. Use a shade slightly lighter than your natural skin tone to highlight your eye area.

“Any color that is lighter will brighten and make your eyes appear bigger and brighter,” says Forte.

3- Use layered makeup to eliminate dark circles

When it comes to having big, bright eyes, dark circles are your biggest enemy as they give the eye area a dark tone. “Dark circles around your eyes will make them look smaller,” says Forte.

The secret to getting rid of them is to work with different layers of concealer, start with a pink-toned concealer and then use a yellow-toned concealer on the top layer.

4- Use a white pencil

White pencil instantly opens your eyes. Use it on the inner rim of your eyes (near the lashes) to extend the whites of your eyes, this will make your eyes look bigger and brighter in a super simple way.

5 – Rock a nude lipstick

If you want everyone to notice your eyes, Forte says it’s important to keep the rest of your face as natural as possible. “Make your lips a lighter color because the attention will be on your eyes,” says Forte.

6- Make double use of false eyelashes

There’s a reason these models in mascara commercials have super striking looks: they wear a lot of false eyelashes. Forte says she uses fake eyelashes on every model she works with to give them a glamorous eye look.

Forte also tells us a secret: he uses two sets of false eyelashes, instead of one. “I always use two sets of lashes, one for length and one for thickness,” says Forte. This means a lot of drama and glamor for the eyes.

7- Curvex is a must

Although many women believe that eyelash curlers look like an instrument of torture, they are a great ally when it comes to enhancing their eyes: curvy eyelashes create a sensation of length, which makes the eyes appear much larger.

Invest in a good curvex and make use of a good mascara to make your eyes look bigger and brighter!
