1. Exfoliate beforehand

The first step for shaving to be perfect is to exfoliate about 3 days beforehand. This helps prepare the skin for waxing, as it removes dead skin cells that can make it difficult for the razor to work, as well as reducing the risk of getting ingrown hairs.

2. Waxing in the shower

When shaving, leaving warm water running over the area to be shaved for 2 minutes is essential to dilate the pores and make it easier to remove hair with the razor.

3. Use shaving cream to remove hair

It is recommended to use shaving cream or another product designed for hair removal instead of soap or conditioner, as these products dry out the skin, increasing the risk of injury and making hair removal more difficult.

4. Shave in the direction of hair growth

The blade must be passed in the direction of hair growth, from top to bottom, to avoid damaging the skin and reduce the risk of hair becoming ingrown.

5. Wash the razor during waxing

Washing the razor with water while shaving is important to remove accumulated hair and remove it more easily. In addition, you must wash and dry the blade well after shaving and before storing it, so that it does not become rusty and can be used again.

6. Apply moisturizer afterwards

Finally, it is essential to apply moisturizing cream to the skin after waxing to hydrate it, as it becomes very sensitive and irritated after waxing.

7. Only use the blade 3 times

It is necessary to replace the blade after 3 uses, as with excessive use, it can rust and make hair removal more difficult. Furthermore, it is important not to share razors because shaving can cause small cuts in the skin, increasing the risk of contracting or transmitting a disease.
