Juices for urinary tract infections, such as green juice, watermelon and orange juice, cranberry juice, horseradish juice and lemon juice, or watercress juice with kiwi, for example, have diuretic, antimicrobial and immunostimulant properties that help prevent, combat and eliminate bacteria that adhere to the urinary tract.

These juices help prevent recurring urinary infections and complement the treatment recommended by your doctor, and should not replace it.

Some juices that can help treat urinary tract infections are:

1. Watermelon and orange juice

Watermelon and orange juice is recommended to prevent and help fight urinary infections, as it contains vitamins and minerals that help increase the body’s defenses, in addition to having a diuretic effect.

Ingredients:

  • 1 slice of watermelon measuring approximately 5 cm;
  • 2 oranges;
  • 1/4 of pineapple.

Preparation mode:

Peel the oranges and separate them into segments, cut the watermelon into pieces and peel the pineapple. Blend all ingredients in a blender and strain as necessary. Drink about 3 glasses of juice a day until symptoms disappear.

2. Juice cranberry (whistling)

The juice of cranberryalso known as cranberry, helps to treat and prevent urinary infections, as it contains large amounts of proanthocyanidins, flavonoids, terpenoids, catechins and citric and malic acids, which are substances that act by hindering the adhesion and development of bacteria in the bladder.

Ingredients:

  • 60 mL of water;
  • 125 mL of unsweetened cranberry (cranberry) juice;
  • 60 mL of unsweetened apple juice.

Preparation mode:

Mix all the ingredients and drink several glasses of this juice throughout the day, at the first sign of a urinary infection. People susceptible to this type of infection, who suffer from recurrent urinary tract infections, should drink two glasses a day as a preventive measure.

3. Green juice

Green juice is a good diuretic that serves to cleanse the bladder, and also contains antioxidants that help reduce inflammation and increase the body’s defenses, making it a good juice option for urinary tract infections.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cabbage leaves;
  • 1 cucumber;
  • 2 apples;
  • Salsa;
  • Half a glass of water.

Preparation mode:

Peel the apples and cucumber, wash all the ingredients well and mix everything in a blender and, finally, add the water. Drink 2 glasses of this juice a day.

4. Horseradish and lemon juice

Horseradish juice (Rustic armor) and lemon, in addition to containing vitamin C, provide antibacterial and diuretic properties that help treat urinary tract infections.

Ingredients:

  • 1 piece of horseradish;
  • 1 lemon juice;
  • 1 glass of water.

Preparation mode:

Place all the ingredients in the blender and blend for a few minutes. Drink several glasses a day until the infection improves.

5. Watercress and kiwi juice

Watercress and kiwi juice provide vitamin C and contain antimicrobial properties, which are beneficial to help fight bacteria that cause urinary tract infections.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of watercress;
  • 2 kiwis;
  • Juice of 1 orange;
  • 2 glasses of water.

Preparation mode:

Place all the ingredients in the blender and blend for a few minutes. Drink several glasses a day until the infection improves.

6. Melon, cucumber and lemon juice

Melon, cucumber and lemon are foods rich in water, stimulating urine production and promoting the elimination of the bacteria responsible for the infection. In addition, they also contain vitamins and minerals that help improve the immune system.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cucumber;
  • 250 grams of melon;
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon.

Preparation mode:

Cut the cucumber and melon into cubes, squeeze 1/2 lemon and mix all the ingredients in a blender until you get a homogeneous mixture. Pour the juice into a glass with ice and drink.

7. Celery and carrot juice

Celery and carrot juice has diuretic, antioxidant and immunostimulant properties, helping to fight urinary tract infections.

Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch of celery (celery);
  • 1 carrot;
  • 1 glass of water;
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon.

Preparation mode:

Wash well and chop the celery and carrots, place in a blender and add water and lemon juice. Strain and drink immediately.
