Summer always brings vacation, fun, beach, heat and lots of colors.
All of this is reflected in more casual looks, vibrant colors, tanned skin and makeup that matches this mood.
In September, New York Fashion Week took place, where the biggest international fashion brands presented trends for the next season.
Right after the fashion shows, Pantone presents the Fashion Colors Trend, a famous report that defines the prominent shades in clothes, makeup and even decoration for the 2019 summer season.
This show featured clothes and accessories that mix strong and extravagant colors, but pastel tones were also present, already popular since the summer of 2018.
In makeup, the highlights were the very different eyeliners (in colors and shapes) and the eyeshadows with a lot of glitter.
To combine this extravagance in the look with the summer spirit, lipsticks range from the most neutral to holographic.
There is something for all tastes, budgets and styles.

Lipstick trends to try for summer 2019
1- Holographic Lipsticks
Holographic lipsticks appeared in several fashion shows, with emphasis on the colors of Lip Gloss, Grand Illusion, from MAC’s Supreme Beam collection.
They are striking colors, full of sparkling pearls that create a futuristic look.
They are an updated version of the metallic lipsticks that were successful in 2016.

2- Gloss
As with every summer fashion show, the “fake absence” of makeup was also present.
Marked by light layers of foundation and powder (just to hide small skin imperfections), a few strokes of blush, to give a tanned effect and a gloss.
A favorite for a few years now, lip gloss is truly the look of summer and will continue to be a strong trend in 2019.
The strong point of this type of lipstick is that, in addition to providing a beautiful and healthy visual effect, it hydrates the lips, which is extremely important in such a dry season with such high temperatures.

3- Red Lipstick
Red lipstick is also nothing new on the catwalks.
And this time, the vibrant shade of red starred in the Rodarte and Valentino fashion shows.
At Rodarte, it appears in a vibrant tone (almost orange), combined with shadows in contrasting colors, such as blue.
At Valentino, to break up an extremely basic makeup look, there is a vibrant red lipstick, covered in glitter.
Both are trends that we will rarely see combined in everyday makeup, but they serve to highlight the presence brought by a good red lipstick and prove that it is also a classic that will hardly go out of style.

4- Ombre Lip
Lip ombré, in fact, is a different application of lipstick that can be done with any color.
It has become a trend, because it gives definition and volume to the lips, giving that Angelina Jolie effect that every woman loves.
This technique consists of a color gradient created with different shades of pink, red, among others.
The most important thing is to ensure that the mixture is not marked, really giving the sensation of gradient, of continuity.

5- Bottom Nude
Nude lipstick remains among the trends because it is classic and matches all skin tones.
