We love cooking, however, we don’t always have time to play chef. If it were up to us, we would support our competitors MasterChef every day. But time is not always our will, or even the disposition to do so. Plus, you don’t always have money left over to make dinner.

Therefore, sometimes it is necessary to resort to faster and more economical ways. Do you know the base food for every quick and economical recipe? That’s right, the egg.

That’s why Women’s Area decided to give you a scoop, and put together some really cool tips. We’ve listed five recipes with eggs that will make your mouth water.

1 – Spanish potato and egg frittata

Ingredients

  • 2 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • Frying oil
  • Sal
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 5 to 6 eggs, beaten with a pinch of salt

Way of doing

To start, you must fry the potato until golden, draining on paper. Keep the potatoes and heat 1 tablespoon of oil and sauté the onion until it becomes transparent. In a bowl, mix the eggs, onion and fried potatoes.

Now heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large frying pan and pour in the mixture. Keep over medium-low heat until golden on the bottom and set on top. Do this on both sides and you’re ready.

2 – Benedictine Eggs

Ingredients

  • 50 ml red wine vinegar
  • 50 ml of water
  • Salt, turmeric and black pepper
  • 3 beaten egg yolks
  • 200 g clarified butter
  • 4 mini hamburger buns cut in half and toasted
  • 4 toasted turkey breast slices
  • 4 poached eggs

Way of doing

Start by boiling the vinegar with the water and pinches of salt, saffron and black pepper until reduced, then letting it cool. Now add the egg yolks to the mixture and place in a water bath, beating with a whisk to emulsify. Pour in the clarified butter and add salt and black pepper. Remove from heat. Now fill the breads with the turkey breast slices and eggs and pour 1 tablespoon of the egg yolk cream.

3 – Baked eggs with bacon

Ingredients

  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 eggs
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons of milk or cream
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan

Way of doing

Start by frying the bacon slices in their own fat until golden. Now chop the bacon and distribute it into 4 individual heatproof bowls. Drizzle with Worcestershire sauce and add an egg to each bowl. Then sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste, cover each with 1 tablespoon of milk or cream and sprinkle with parmesan. Place on a baking tray and place in a preheated medium oven (200 ºC) for around 12 minutes. Serve with toast.

4 – Eggs with sausage

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 skinless sausage sections
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 4 chopped skinless tomatoes
  • 1 small chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons of green scent
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan
  • Salt and black pepper

Way of doing

To begin, heat the butter in a large frying pan and sauté the sausage until it starts to brown. Add the tomato, onion and green chilli. Sauté until the tomato breaks down and add water to form a sauce. Using a spoon, move the sausage to one side of the pan and break in the eggs. Sprinkle with grated cheese, cover and keep on fire until the eggs cook a little. Is ready.

5 – Egg in rings

Ingredients

  • Butter for greasing
  • 1 ring of pepper, onion or tomato, 1.5 cm high
  • 1 egg (white and yolk separated)
  • Salt to taste

Way of doing

To begin, in a frying pan greased with butter, place the ring of pepper, onion or tomato and, inside it, pour the egg white. Cover and leave until it starts to cook or turns white. Now is the time to place the yolk over the semi-cooked egg white, sprinkle with salt and cook for another 1 minute. Serve immediately.
