3 of the BEST EASY Casserole Recipes That Mom Used to Make

You Tube

We love a good casserole, especially casseroles that have been passed down. My favorite thing about casseroles is that they can be made ahead of time and then thrown in the oven before dinner. Anything to make life easier, right?
These are the best of the best (in my opinion) and we hope you love them as much as we do.

  1. The Enchilada Casserole was fantastic! I used 2 – 10oz can enchilada sauce and flour tortillas (what I had on hand) and it was perfect. 6 perfect servings.

  2. You should wash and rinse your rice . If you use uncle Ben's rice it's OK but all other rice coming from INDIA , TAIWAN AND CHINA…IT'S A MUST TO WASH IT ! So much bacteria living on the rice ….bad bad bad hygienic where the rice is stored and packed also . And a lot's of bacteria can live in very hot temperatures! Be aware!

  3. I'm definitely going to try all 3 casseroles. I esp appreciate that you give your honest opinion and your sweet daughters on taste and flavoring of the dishes. It helpful for when I go to make them what I should do differently, add or take away, etc. Thanks loads for sharing. Arlene

  4. I’ve made chicken divan with both sour cream recipe and the mayo version. My boys love the mayo, I’m a sour cream fan.

  5. I really appreciated your video. The ingredients were few and it was super easy. Your kind demeanor added to me enjoying the video. I also liked how you added your daughters to taste test because children don't hold back 😀 Thanks again!

  6. Just watched this and made the chicken enchilada casarole and it was AMAZING! After cooking we added salsa, avacado, and sour cream cant wait to try more of these recipes.

  7. My mom makes that same Chicken divan but she puts 1Tbsp of curry powder in the soup mixture. It ups the flavor level big time. I fix it at least once a month myself. It's one of my fave hand me down recipes along with her broccoli casserole and her rice casserole.

  8. My Mom and Dad were both good cooks, though Dad's expertise was in certain New England dishes, and elaborate waffle breakfasts, which we happily ate for dinner when he was in the mood. Mom taught us girls the basics, but she worked full time too, so it wasn't long before my sister and I were left to our own devices, cooking for the family. My sister had one quarter left of a degree in home economics… she is AMAZING in the kitchen, even after two brain injuries! Awaiting talking miracle, that woman… Me? I'm okay. I occasionally can make a mean meatloaf, and love what my family calls my "exotic" soups, like sweet potato cauliflower, salmon chowder, and golden split pea with smoked kielbasa… and when I make chicken and dumplings, they are biscuit-sized, fluffy, and they FLOAT…

  9. That chicken coming out of the IP @-102 looks like it got too close to a nuclear accident, and my guess is it tastes like it too? TheReaper!

  10. You have to many instants pot receipts. A lot of us don’t have instant pots. So that leaves me to go another channel

  11. The one pan meal I think adding a can of cream of chicken soup will add more salt to the dish as well as the needed moisture

  12. I have the same recipe except I also add 1 teaspoon of curry powder. I mix it with my lemon juice, then add it in. The flavor is amazing.

  13. Hi, I'm in NM, my family makes it with chopped hot green chiles and mushroom soup with hamburger – mix together pour over each layer of corn tortillas with cheese on each layer, yummy!

  14. I love this but unless your like 20 years old Mom didnt have a insta pot back in the days 🤣🤣

  15. These look delicious. I love casseroles, but most recipes lose me when they start adding a lot of seasonings. Keep it real ! Your daughters are adorable.

  16. On my chicken and rice i also add 1 can cream chicken and 1 can cream mushroom and a little milk stir and then i mix everything together put in a bake dish with cheese on top so good.
