3 home remedies to avoid heart attack (and how to prepare)

Illnesses

Home remedies to prevent acute myocardial infarction, such as royal jelly, grape juice or green tea, contain substances that help improve blood circulation, the elasticity of blood vessels and lower cholesterol.

In addition to home remedies, to prevent a heart attack and lower cholesterol, which is one of the main causes of a heart attack, it is important to follow a balanced diet, increasing the consumption of soluble fiber, fruits, vegetables and fresh fish, in addition to practicing physical exercise regularly. See other ways to lower cholesterol.

These home remedies can help prevent a heart attack, but they do not replace the treatment recommended by a cardiologist, with changes in lifestyle habits and/or the use of medicines to lower cholesterol or blood pressure, for example.

1. Royal jelly

Royal jelly is a great home remedy to help prevent acute myocardial infarction. This is because it improves the elasticity of blood vessels.

Ingredients

Preparation mode

Dilute 20g of pure royal jelly in 1 liter of bee honey and take 4 tablespoons per day, to sweeten juices, milk or yogurt, for example.

Royal jelly is capable of maintaining the elasticity of the blood vessel walls, making them more resistant, being a great help in preventing heart attacks.

However, its consumption does not exclude the need to take other precautions, such as reducing the intake of fatty foods, especially of animal origin and fried foods, dairy products, coffee or chocolate; do moderate exercises that stimulate sweating and especially combat stress; and if you are a smoker, stop smoking.

2. Grape juice

Grape juice is an excellent home remedy to prevent heart attacks and other heart diseases, as it is very rich in resveratrol, a substance that helps protect the heart.

Resveratrol is a phytonutrient produced in plants that has several health benefits, as it works to prevent cancer, improve the appearance of the skin, lower cholesterol and prevent the emergence of cardiovascular problems. Find out more in what resveratrol is for.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams of dark grapes;
  • 1 liter of water;
  • 1 cup brown sugar.

Preparation mode

After washing the grapes well, add them to a pan with water and sugar and bring to a boil. The moment the grapes begin to fall apart, the fire can be turned off. After cooling, add the resulting mixture to the blender and blend until the solution is homogeneous. Store in the refrigerator and drink the fresh juice at least once a day.

Grapes, in addition to being a delicious fruit, are very nutritious, their effectiveness in preventing heart attacks is due to the fact that the fruit is rich in flavonoids, substances that play a determining role in the formation of clots and blood circulation.

3. Green tea

Green tea, made from the plant Camellia sinensishas phenolic compounds and flavonoids in its composition, especially epigallocatechin, which has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which help relax blood vessels, improving circulation and cardiovascular health.

This tea can be used to help treat high cholesterol, especially bad cholesterol (LDL), which can be deposited in blood vessels and increase the risk of heart attack or other cardiovascular diseases, such as stroke.

Green tea can be used in the form of tea, infusion or natural extract, and should be used under the guidance of a cardiologist as excessive use can harm the liver. See other ways to use green tea.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon of green tea leaves or 1 green tea bag;
  • 1 cup of water.

Preparation mode

Bring the water to a boil, turn off the heat, add the leaves or green tea bag and let it rest for 10 minutes. Strain or remove the sachet and drink immediately. This tea can be consumed 2 to 4 times a day, or as advised by your doctor.

Green tea should not be consumed by children, pregnant or breastfeeding women, people who have insomnia, hyperthyroidism, gastritis or high blood pressure. Furthermore, as it contains caffeine in its composition, you should avoid drinking this tea at the end of the day or in quantities greater than recommended.
