Accommodations
All rooms are very spacious and well decorated. The feeling you get is like being at your beach house! The bed is certainly one of the softest I’ve ever slept on! Our room, to top it off, still had this breathtaking view of the ocean and the Lions Head, one of the most famous mountains in the city. The entire decoration of the hotel is very “Chic and fresh” in a beach style with classic touches. Everything is in great taste and always with great attention to detail!

The gastronomy
The Azure restaurant is considered one of the best in the country. In an elegant, candlelit setting, it offers a fine dinning of 5 stages very well prepared by chef Christo Pretorius. Highlights include typical South African meats, such as the delicious and tender Springbok. For the starter, mussels with butter sauce and mashed potatoes! Of course, all this accompanied by an excellent South African pinotage! It was a wonderful dinner, both for the dishes and atmosphere and for the attention and friendliness of the waiters!

The Leopard Bar, with live music and Gin tasting (on Fridays), livens up the nights at the hotel and is a great spot to see the beautiful sunset. Another very interesting attraction that the hotel offers is a “combo” with a delicious Japanese dinner in the cozy restaurant 12A at The Café Grill, plus a movie session with popcorn in the cinema room (reservation required)! Very romantic, just like the entire 12 Apostles.

Breakfast is served right there in the Azure restaurant lounge. The buffet is very complete, with a variety of breads, cold cuts, South African cheeses, fruits, juices, champagne and fresh oysters! The hotel has a wonderful set of swimming pools, one of which is heated (but not covered) and facing the sea with a beautiful view. The other pools are at the back of the hotel, built among rocks creating an atmosphere of a natural pool with a view of the mountains. In addition to being more reserved.

The service
One of the things that caught my attention the most was the friendliness and kindness of the entire hotel staff! A great service for all the 12 Apostles employees who always served us with a smile on their faces and were ready to help us with everything we needed! In fact, I always say that good hotel service makes all the difference in your trip. And it’s true, because there’s nothing better than being well attended to, what’s more, a good concierge can always book tours and restaurants at the last minute. So you don’t have to worry about anything!
