Red Beans and Rice Video and Recipe:

INGREDIENTS:
• 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
• 1 lb andouille sausage, thinly sliced
• 1 large onion, diced
• 1 green bell pepper, diced
• 4 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 1/2 teaspoons Creole seasoning
• 3 (15-ounce) cans small red beans (not drained)
• 1 cup chicken broth
• 15 oz can diced tomatoes (not drained)
• Additional seasonings, to taste
• Cooked rice
DIRECTIONS:
1. Heat vegetable oil in a large stockpot or large skillet over medium heat.
2. Add sausage, onion, bell pepper and garlic. Cook, stirring occasionally, until tender and brown, about 15 minutes.
3. Stir in tomatoes and Creole seasoning until fragrant, about 1 minute.
4. Stir in red beans, chicken stock. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer for 30 -45 minutes until sauce reduces and thickens.
5. Serve over rice.

  1. Everything looks delicious! I still have the Asian short ribs in my freezer from watching your video awhile back with them. I seriously need to cook and try them. They look so good when you make them. I think I will try them in the air fryer. That pizza braid look like fun to make with my children. I have all the pizza ingredients on hand right now.   3. I have been a meat cutter for over 35 yrs and hated cutting cross cut rib. I saw WAY TOO MANY meat cutters who wasn't using the pusher get extremely bad cuts on the saw.

  4. Hi Andrea, wow everything looks good! I haven't had short ribs in forever, I might need to look into getting some. That frozen mix sounds really handy for something like that, I should look into keeping something like that on hand.That pizza braid looks like a fun meal my kids would like, so I'll try that one out. I still haven't made a Mississippi roast, I need some good crockpot recipes as we're busier during the week now, so I'll definitely have to try it. Great video, thanks so much for sharing!
