  1. I’ve never had or made Mongolian beef. It did look good. If we get some colder weather this week, we will make a gumbo. We use jarred roux as our base.

  2. Ooh, I have that mongolian beef pinned at Pinterest to try, so glad you tried it Andrea! LOL! Good tips at the end, it looks awesome though, but good to know you'd tweak the spices (I almost always do) and weird about the water. Would you substitute beef broth instead of water maybe, or just leave it out altogether? It looks good, and I'm with you, I think meat does better in a crockpot on low for longer, rather than rushing it on high. Yum, roasted chicken (love seeing your seasonings, I have never bought either of those poultry blends, good info) and sides (I wish my husband loved stuffing, LOL!). You are doing such a great job with your freezer and pantry Andrea, way to go girl! The AF chicken strips with pasta and leftover green beans is like the perfect weeknight meal, easy and quick and using what you have, just perfect! Tell Howard we said Hello and give Harrison his big ole smooch for me, please m'am!! Hugs —Stacy 😍💚

  4. Hi, Andrea!
Wow, Jeff here on YouTube just made Mongolian beef. Both of yours look great, but I think he added more to his. Like you said, the crockpot version is a good base version.
The chicken looked good. i will have to try the LiteHouse poultry seasoning with freeze-dried herbs.
The meat sauce from your freezer looks great on that spaghetti, and the pound cake looks amazing, too!
That gumbo turned out great. Glad you had boneless skinless chicken thighs as well as smoked sausage on hand in the freezer.
    Thanks for sharing!

  5. Everything looked delicious Andrea! I’ve been cooking better since doing this challenge. Doing make ahead freezer breakfast sandwiches. Freezer breakfasts for the kids for every morning. Those have come in handy! Jase has such a better day when his belly is full! Thanks for the push to do this. We’ve eaten down a lot of stuff! Still a lot more that could get eaten. ….Baby steps though! Lol!

  6. The Mangolian beef looks so delicious 😋 I've never had Gumbo but it looks interesting. Great week of meals Andrea.

  7. Everything looked very good! With the Mongolian Beef, to this basic recipe you were trying out, I might have added some ginger, sliced onion (or even freeze dried onion or onion powder) and some sesame oil, rather than the olive oil. As you said, the steak did render some fat, so I'm sure next time, you will make things more to your liking. I tend to add veggies later in the cooking process, no matter what the recipe says, just because we prefer them that way. I don't often buy it, but a guilty pleasure of mine is Stove Top Stuffing, lol! This from the same woman that grows most of what she eats. I just like the taste. When it's super cheap, I pick up a couple boxes every year. I totally understand Howard's fondness of it. Take care, great meals and thank you for your time putting out these videos.

  8. Aldi for the Win . Every time I go there I feel like there is something that catches my eye that I ant to try. I like that Lawrys chicken seasoning. Ooh that leftover meat sauce spaghetti looks so good! I do the same thing I make a big batch of sauce and then I individually wrap 3 or 4 portions to put in the freezer
