  1. My favorite struggle meal back in the day was a potato chip sandwich regular Lays chips with two pieces of bread and mayo 🤤

  2. I remember I used to microwave tortillas with shredded cheese then roll it up. And spread butter and sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on it. 90s we’re such a good time

  3. Not sure if you can place cereal in struggle meals these days. Last time I checked my local grocery store, the average price for a box (not even family size), was $8. Shit expensive these days.

  4. Omg this was so relatable 😂😂😂 struggle was just chef boyardi speghetti we cooked it with the cigarette lighter in the car. Bakery bread with butter and cheese.

  5. Didn't even know that cereal and PB&J sandwiches were considered 'struggle' meals. Thought that shit was normal breakfast for everyone lol. Like I still eat that to this day bruh 😂

  6. "Garlic bread" bread, butter, if you have garlic seasoning, two slices put together set on top of the toaster. Then flip

  7. My struggle meals when my mom didn’t have feel like cooking Ramen noodles, hot dog sammiches wit cheese, bologna and cheese sammiches, pb and j, Vienna sausages and to wash it down wit a cup of Kool Aid or Minute Maid or that big bottle of Gatorade or Powerade you saved that you put in the back of the fridge so it will icy cold so nobody will touch it

  8. Brah if you got bread you GOOD lol. Pb and J, cinnamon toast, French toast, cheese toast, grill cheese, pizza, hot dogs… It does eeeeeeeverything. But Ramen is def the Goat of struggle meals 😅

  9. Pasta with butter and garlic powder was my favorite struggle meal. When we didn't even have sauce. I appreciate that you guys keep things real and relatable.

  10. Everything I've cooked in this unit has come out great https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB ! Everything tastes so good. Some of the recipes I've changed a little to improve the taste. For instance, for french fries which call for no oil, I spray them with olive oil and season them with salt and pepper. They come out great! It makes the best toast I have ever eaten. The recipe I use calls for lightly buttering both sides of the bread. It calls for cooking at 400 degrees for 5 minutes on one side and then 2 minutes on the other side. This time has a lot to do with the kind of bread you are using…so keep an eye on it. Also, the fans in this Ninja are a lot stronger than other air fryers. So lay a metal spoon or something on the bread to keep it from flying around. It's a little extra work to use your Ninja as a toaster but it is worth it!

  11. I never buy bread and hot dog buns because if i do then something is getting old in the end and getting thrown out. Easier and cheaper to just buy bread.

  12. The hotdogs & bread struggle meal, I still have from time to time. Though these days, I usually experiment with noodles because there's infinite amounts of things you can do with them.

  13. A few of my struggle recipes I've made over the years for all my strugglers out there.

Mackerel cakes, pop open a can of mackerel and drain the brine, split the fish in half and scoop out the spines and ribs, mash the fish and add breadcrumbs, an egg and whatever savory seasonings you have on hand like cajun seasoning, diced onion or Italian seasoning. Then form into little cakes and fry in a pan with about a quarter inch of oil flipping once. Just be careful with the hot oil.

Prison pad ti, make raman according to package directions and add a spoonful of peanut butter and some hot sauce. A few other raman add ons I've tried are raman with egg, raman alfredo, raman with sardines and raman with mackerel.

Struggle jambalaya, make some spanish or yellow rice and add beans, canned diced tomatoes and chilies, frozen peppers and onions and canned mackerel.

  14. Growing up in a Jamaican household, corn beef and cabbage was the Stamp of struggle meals. Once I saw the canned cornbeef which still uses primitive methods to open and that obnoxious head of cabbage, I knew what was up. I’m amazed by how my parents always found ways to feed three children on such a tight budget.
