Great ideas. They all look great and easy to prepare. And most kitchens have many of those ingredients. I make a similar sandwich as yours. I usually make it after Thanksgiving and Christmas with leftovers. Ham or turkey. I use sourdough instead of the Hawaii rolls. I use either cranberry sauce or cranberry preserves. Depending on the holiday. And with the turkey one, I put mashed potatoes on it also. With gravy poured on top.

I don’t know if you guys have “Cheddars” restaurants where you are or not, I live in East Tennessee and we have them here, and they have monte cristo sandwiches that are very similar, but they put a batter on them and deep fry them, then sprinkle powdered sugar and they give you raspberry jam to dip them in, and I agree with you! They are sooooo good ☺️
